This trip offers our travelers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness endangered wildlife in their natural habitat and support their conservation. After our travel, we will check into our hotel, rest, and explore the city on foot. Built on the shores of Lake Victoria, the 2nd-largest freshwater lake in the world, this capital city will be an ideal launching point for our journey.
We will stop on the way to visit to Bigo-bya-Mugenyi, a UNESCO World Heritage site of archaeological and cultural significance.
Upon arrival at L.Mburo National Park, we will check into our lodging inside the Park, and observe and learn about its wildlife and programming.
In the morning, we will visit a cattle farm, learning about traditional styles of cattle grazing, cattle naming ceremonies and milking.
We will journey further through Uganda’s wildlife on a game-spotting trek, and proceed to a local farm lodge employing only sustainable practices.
Today we will work alongside the farmers at the lodge, participating in food preparation, fishing, and farming activities in the traditional Ugandan way. Overnight at the farm lodge.
Here our group will learn the stories and cultural norms of the Twin Lakes - a region where both the scenery and traditional culture are unforgettable. Participating in cultural activities with locals, our group will be exposed to a vast array of traditional livelihoods and knowledge, as well as exotic wildlife such as hippos cooling in the water, savannah elephants, herds of buffalo, migratory birds, and crocodiles. We will stay overnight in Walujojo, a lodge in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After our hike, we will travel on to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we will stay overnight in the Kazinga wilderness, home to an array of iconic African beasts including lions, leopards, rhinos, giraffe, and over a dozen primate species, including gorillas and chimpanzees.
We will be treated to a game excursion with conservation officers in Queen Elizabeth Park, where we will spend time learning about the biology and habitat needs of the animals in the area.
We also visit a world Ramsar site (internationally protected wetlands) and take a boat cruise through the area where we expect to see many birds and other wildlife refreshing themselves at the banks of the river.
We will stay overnight in the town of Fortportal, situated in the Crater Lake District and surrounded by lush green rolling hills, caves, and waterfalls.
